Leading UK manufacturer of PVCu windows and doors, Euramax Solutions, has appointed Nick Cowley as its new managing director. Cowley will lead the team of over 150 staff from its site in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, to develop its product offering as well as expanding into new industry sectors.

Cowley, who has worked for manufacturing, fabrication and building materials innovation companies across United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East for over 20 years, joins Euramax at an exciting time, as it prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2020.

Euramax, which is part of the Omnimax International Inc group offers end-to-end manufacturing of PCVu windows, doors and shower enclosures for the new build, holiday home, offsite construction, DIY and retail sectors across the UK. It’s manufacturing facility in Barnsley, spans over 200,000 square feet, delivering products nationwide to manufacturing, distribution and individual customers.

Cowley began his career working for a stainless steel enclosures manufacturer, before ultimately moving into the role of supply chain director. He then went on to work as operations director for Airedale Glass and Glazing prior to returning to ELDON Group in 2006, where he was UK operations director and business unit manager for the Middle East region.

In 2015, he joined MCL Group Industries as group managing director, before transitioning to chief operating officer at international network access chambers manufacturer, Cubis Systems, when it acquired MCL Group Industries in 2016.

“Joining a market leader, like Euramax, is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a long-established business, which continues to grow from strength to strength as it evolves with the needs of its customers,” Nick Cowley said. “With markets such as the holiday home industry contributing six billion pounds to the UK economy annually, and key sectors such as the residential windows and doors market growing over recent years, there is a lot of potential for Euramax to capitalise on.

“Euramax has a wonderful reputation across the holiday home, DIY and retail sectors, but there is huge potential for growth and development, which I am excited to be leading on. We have exciting plans in the pipeline to develop new product ranges as well as streamline our processes and procedures in order to enable an efficient and effective experience for our customers, regardless of the product or size of the order they are making with us,” Cowley added.

“With Nick joining the organisation at an exciting time for not only Euramax, but the industry as a whole, it means the entire company will be unified and working towards our collective goals for the coming years,” Richard Banks, commercial director commented. “Nick’s expertise in strategy, business development and industry operations sets Euramax up for an exciting and positive future.”
